Abstract

Mammals found in the 22 forest and 2 wetland fixed sites using the sensor camera images in Bukhansan National Park were 9 taxa; 3 orders, 6 families and 9 species including Sus scrofa, Hydropotes inermis, Nyctereutes procyonoides, Canis familiaris, Felis catus, Meles leucurus, Mustela sibirica, Sciurus vulgaris, and Eutamias sibiricus. Relative abundance indices (RAI) of Sus scrofa (33.8), Hydropotes inermis (13.9), Sciurus vulgaris (8.3) and Felis catus (4.7) were significantly higher than others. Felis catus, Meles leucurus, Sciurus vulgaris, and Eutamias sibiricus were not found in the wetland sites, but relative abundance indices of Sus scrofa, Hydropotes inermis, and Nyctereutes procyonoides were higher than those in the forest sites. Total nine mammal species were found with the same species in the previous studies, but the endangered species, Prionailurus bengalensis, and the endemic species, Lepus coreanus, were not found in this study.
