1. The Journal of Agriculture & Life Science is classified into Original papers, Research notes, Review papers, Invited papers and etc. Submitted papers shall contribute to the development of agriculture, forestry and fishery, obeyed by the regulation of research ethics enacted by the Institute of Agriculture & Life Science affiliated by Gyeongsang Nat’l Univ. in Jul. 23rd 2007 and be qualified for creativity, clarity and validity.

2. The editorial boards decide the publication of the submitted papers, and the papers are not returned.

3. Papers which don’t follow the submission regulation or contain pictures or figures unsuitable for examination, editing and printing are not accepted.

4. The date of receipt is the date of arrival, and the date of acceptance is the date when the examination is completed.

5. For the online submission, the paper shall be typed in Korean or English by the word processing program Hangul over version 97 with type A4, line spacing 180 and font size 11. Margins(top・bottom 15, left・ right 25 and header・footer 10) and font size(16 for Korean・English title on the first page, 14 for subtitle in the middle of the body and 11 for the rest) shall be followed for the editing. It must be based on the bottom center of the page number.

6. Korean manuscript shall be written by Korean alphabet, but English can be used for the name of person, place and journal which are confusable.

7. Title, name of the author is written by Korean and English on the top of the first page of the paper. The symbol “*” shall be placed after the name of corresponding author, and the number shall be placed after the name of other authors in numerical order. On the bottom, name of the author and email are written.

8. Korean・English abstract which contains about 300 words is summarized by a sentence and is attached on the second page. Key words within five words are written after a spacing line from the last line of the abstract. Key words are with five words are written in Korean alphabetic order or English alphabetic order.

9. The body shall consist of Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Acknowledgement and References in order.
1) Introduction: Introduciton should be brief and clearly state the aim of study. The literature review should be limited to information that is pertinent to the experiment.
2) Materials and methods: Materials and methods should include enough detail so that a competent scientist can repeat the experiments. Methods should be cited by a reference if well known methods were used.

10. Research note shall be written according to the form of original papers.

11. Tables and figures shall be drawn in English, be comprehensible without referring to the text and be attached at the end of References being written in the accompanying paper. Footnote is written in lower case in alphabetic order. Table and figure shall be drawn and attached one by one on each page within 14cm in width in black clearly including letters, and the number of the figure shall be stipulated at the bottom(Ex: Fig.1). The explanation shall not be included inside the figure, and the same research result shall not be written with table and figure again without particular reason.

12. In case of the abbreviations, the full name shall be written at the beginning and the abbreviation shall be put in brackets. If the same names will be written out after full name, It was written abbreviation.
1) For the Korean and English manuscript, the brackets shall be put without spacing before the word.
2) Numbers and units are written leaving space
3) Numbers and units in brackets are written without spacing for both Korean and English papers.

13. Numbers are written by Arabic figures and units are written by SI unit as much as possible.

14. The scientific name is all but indicated, including the denominator in accordance with the scientific name notation used in the first place that, when the next iteration does not mark the denominator.

15. For cited literatures, follow the formations below.
1) Kim(2001) or (Kim, 2001) for one author.
2) Kim & Park(2001) or (Kim & Park, 2001) for two authors.
2) For book forms
3) Kim et al.(2001) or (Kim et al., 2001) for more than three authors.
4) For various cited literatures, the earliest-published literature comes first, and each author is divided with semicolon(Ex, Choi, 1999; Kim & Park, 2001).
5) Kim(2001)a, Kim(2001)b for same year and same surname.

16. References are arranged in alphabetical order and written as below.
1) For periodicals; when written in English, author’s surname comes first and given name comes.

5) Inedita, personal communications and etc. are not defined as literature cited, but disclosed in the middle of texts.
6) The name of academic journal is stipulated in all if it consists of singular words. If it consists of multiple words, it is stipulated as abbreviations.
7) If the author cites data onto the Internet web site address provided with the material people or institutions, Year, Source Title, website address, and date indicated in the quote order.

17. The proofreading shall be done by the author for the first proof-reading, and in principle the manuscript cannot be edited in during the proofreading. The boards, however, can edit it in when it is acknowledged to need the systematic editing. When submit modified manuscripts, propose the modified portion required from editorial board for each item , as well as mark the portion of the modified papers to be submitted by a red or shaded.

18. The boards charge authors the fees for examination and publication.
1) The author pays 60,000KRW for the examination fee when submitting.
2) The boards charge the author 40,000KRW for the publication fee when the submitted paper is confirmed for the publication, and the standing page for sciences and humanities is six and ten respectively. 20,000KRW is charged more for additional pages, and additional costs for color printing and etc. are charged on the author.
3) An offprint is provided. If the author requires an offprint of the basic 30copies, the author pays for the cost.

19. The boards decide the publication and the inserting order.

20. All others not stipulated in the regulations are decided by the board.
